My thoughts exactly.

The REAL scoreboard at the ground was FAR nicer today, though!

Well, that's what the BBC did for many years in the 70s/early 80s of course, whenever their OB truck didn't have an Anchar machine on board.

Nice graphic.

But I notice they still have the top left score caption, rather than the far nicer infobar/strap that every other cricket coverage provider has (bar Channel 9 Aus for reasons I think I've already gone in another thread here)...

nah - i prefer the top-right gfx - the info bar looks wrong somehow.

just cos $ky does something different doesnt mean its right. for example - would the football scores look better down the bottom? no way. would snooker scores look better up the top? no. the BBC had their cricket score there for yonks and c4 just followed suit. its how its always been.

the use of the channel 4 typeface is very subtle. Its simple and serves it purpose well.

As most of the graphics are about the same (although the new 3d wagonwheel is dead cool), I thought I'd mention how they seem to have struck gold with the combination of commentators now. Adding Geoff Boycott into the mix has made it really interesting.

Dermot Reeve is the only really nausiating one left.

Anyway, back to the topic.... any captures of this new board? I know I'm always asking for captures, but as this forum is about TV pres, if you can see it you can comment.

Not too good, i'll stick with Sky Sports, their graphics are superior!

How are you going to manage that for this test?

Theres highlights on Sky and viewers on various channels outside the UK recieve the Sky Sports coverage and commentary instead of the Channel 4 coverage.

Agreed. Great to have Boycs back where he belongs, and back to good health. A true authority on cricket.

No wonder the Sky coverage have got a full commentry and studio setup, I was wondering why they would go to mega proportions just for highlights.

I for one though would rather watch a programme for the content rather than graphics - I'm sure all the BBC lovers will be listening to Five Live rather than watch ITV will they? Confused

Edit: For England vs France in the World Cup!
