I'm a Celebrity: Fourth series not as good!

Anyone else feeling this series so far is no where near as good as previous years - it's on a parallel with Big Brother 4. Lots of twists, but not alot action.

I've always said that unlike many reality shows, you watch I'm a Celebrity as much for the hosts as the contestants - and even Ant and Dec are struggling with little material to commentate on.

And as for the Vic Reeves thing - it's been mentioned on virtually every show on ITV1 today - but they made it out as a big secret on the show.

However, this should stir things up a bit - although it's a bit nicey nicey at the moment.

Well, ant and dec did say it was the worst kept secret in the UK,. so they knew that we knew, and were just playing with us, i mean, an ITV spokeswoman confirmed that Vic was in earlier today.

Anyway, the series is great, as ratings prove, though last night, the ratings weren't as good, but we'll put that down to bad scheduling due to the football, and after tonight, with corrie and the bill, Celebrity, should be back on top with the ratings.

I think this series is great, we are only 4 days in so it could get even better!

Well, ant and dec...

Some of their more subtle humour, e.g. today's House of Pies, Janet Street Porter impression joke (day #2) or that relying on timing really appeals to me, although I'm a bit puzzled by the koala bear...

I hardly ever watch any reality shows but the two evening shows are appointment to view for me, Mark D-S and Tara is too good to miss. Also more interested in some of the 'celebrities' than previous series.

The show's production values remain pretty high (especially given its taking place on the other side of the world) which I like.

Personnaly i think this series has got into it's stride much quicker then usual. Ant & Dec are always on top form. But i'm puzzeled by the Koala thing too.

And as for Big Brother 4 Shocked . The opening show of IAC4 was more entertaining then BB4s entire 9 week run

I don't get what you mean by "lot's of twist's" either Confused The only twist iv'e seen is the addition of Vic Reeves.

I presume that Hogan (the name of the Koala if anyone was interested!), was bought in to be part of the set and add part of the jungle into the show (a bit like the fish that they bought in and they referred to last series!), and Ant & Dec just started to refer to him, I like it actually!

I did watch the other series, but i stopped watching this one very quickly, it's just gotten boring and tired now. I read an article saying Ant and Dec would pull out of a series if they thought it had been done too much, and that's why they pulled out of a new series of Pop Idol, so why the hell are they doing this for a fourth time!?

I got bored after the 3rd season, and i didn't even watch the 1st one. Theres only so much of the same thing you can take!

ITV, do something different for gods sake!

The way that Ant & Dec handle the show is in their own style, and better than any other reality show, the celeb's this year are a wierd bunch, they all seem very nice, bar Janet, and that's the good thing about it, the fact that Janet argues, and that the Bush Tucker trials are worst then ever.

Like tonight, eating your way through pies filled with god knows what to find a star and put it on a window using your mouth only whilst 1& a 1/2 million flies were dropped and thene fly around the tank!

Is it too far?
Most probably!

The only problem I can see with this series is that's its within the same year as the last (even though it seems a while ago), though I understand ITV's point of doing it with them not wanting to pay £100 million back to advertisers.

Plus. An observation, for the past three nights I've had the live coverage on ITV1 on, and the titles start with Ant & Dec saying the the end of "here", as though the titles were taken from the programme. Very strange that they don't have a plain set of titles, isn't it?

I'd be puzzled by a "koala bear" too. The correct name for the animal is just "koala" - koalas are *not* bears!

Here endeth the zoological pedantry... Wink

I think they have been "pulled in" now to the next series of Pop Idol.

Quite amusing that Ant & Dec have bought the Aussie rights to tonight's Newcastle match for £420 (almost cheaper than going!) so they can watch it!
