It is NOT funny and it's making the Forum VERY difficult to follow.

I'm sure the moderators in the BBC Brigade who must have set it up, find it extremely amusing, but those of us who read this Forum for serious purposes simply find it childish and completely stupid.

Goodness me, it's only one day for a bit of a laugh. And it's a hell of a lot more entertaining than the 24 Hour Quiz. On ITV1.

We'll have to disagree on this one, DAS, I'm afraid.

To me, it simply shows how little regard the moderators have for the members who wish to engage in anything regarding a sensible discussion.

It's impossible to tell which channel is being discussed, which makes a complete nonsence of a serious Forum about television matters.

In that case, I'm sure the BBC, many newspapers and any other broadcasters or media outlets who may wish to indulge in a traditional April Fools' joke will show little regard for the people who use them... I'm sure most will have a quick titter and carry on.

But disagree we shall.

Surely you could have waited till the morning...... 48 minutes worth of April Foll is a wasted opportunity!

I have to agree with Nick on this one. I'm sure someone's going to come tell me I've lost my sense of humour, but I don't even find it funny.

You have no idea how painful it is for me to see myself refer to my I T V News mocks as 'BBC Lunchtime News' and 'BBC Evening News'

At least at 6am change all things BBC into I T V to make it fair! Very Happy April Fools finishes at 12 mid-day doesn't it? Or is that another joke..

Oh really that is just pathetic.

I'd love to point out the number of times the moderation has been chastised for not having a sense of humour, but I'm really above that.

A round of applause for Nick Harvey, everyone. Nick Harvey. (sarcastic claps)

Sorry, could someone please tell me what on EARTH is going on in this thread? Everything seems perfectly normal to me on the forums...

EDIT: Hang on, I think I've got it-
ITV was rebranded ITV1 in 2001. Back then there was also ITV Digital and the ITV Sport Channel.

Asa's put in a mini-April Fools annoyance. Whenever someone types I T V without the spaces in, it automatically changes to BBC. This, as many people have said, causes a lot of confusion.

When this feature is removed (presumably at midday), surely all the I T Vs will remain BBCs, meaning people still won't have a clue what's going on? This being a TV Presentation Forum where the name I T V is frequently needed, I don't think this is the most well thought out April Fools joke ever.
