Something a bit odd happening after the goal was scored? Given the score bug disappeared was it some mistaken cuts in the BT gallery? Or a fault elsewhere?

it doesn't seem to have been on the world feed - perhaps someone getting a bit excited in the BT pres truck. The reaction shot of the three Ajax players on the ground told a lot though!

I’d forgotten they were on site, so yes must have been in the pres truck.

Weird the scoreboard went they must have in the excitement of it all pressed the wrong button.

Is the CL scorebar still generated by the broadcaster then. Think all other UEFA comps have them on the world feed now.

CL scorebar has been part of the world feed since the start of this season. Reason it disappeared was because BT cut away.

At least at the start of the season, there was still the option for broadcasters to use their own scorebar - in fact BT did so (using a scorebar that was almost but not quite the same as the world feed one, which was possibly pointless). Have a look at the discussion here:

Indeed, and the option is still there. It's only the 'A feed' that carries the scorebar. The 'B feed' doesn't.

There's a flash frame or two of a BT pundit just before the feed with scorebar returns, so I would imagine it can only be a bit of finger trouble within the BT operation (either on site or at their playout facility)

As I said, I think they got a bit excited in the pres truck. Slightly unfortunate but I don't think it detracted from the match coverage too much.

There are other differences, in distribution, and also content pre- and post-match. During the match the only difference is the presence/absence of a score bug.

Does Champions League use their own English commentators?

yes, all matches have world feed English commentary on the ex-Europe feeds.

Practically every damn football game in the world has multi-language commentary now. Want to watch an obscure Swedish league match featuring two bottom of the table teams? Yep it's available in Svenska, Engelsk och just crowd noise.

There's a Saturday Morning Savage Special in the schedules this weekend, which is presumably special because it's on Sunday afternoon.
