SPORT: The Main Event
Terry Flanagan puts his title on the line against Petr Petrov, as well as a great British tear up as Liam Smith takes on Liam Walsh. Rising star Daniel Dubois makes his debut, as does Nicola Adams.
(I note the listings in DigiGuide are ahead by an hour on Box Nation in error)
This went out on BT Sport 2 ahead of the Miami final earlier this evening. Spot the errors (there are two).
Bit of a typo on Monterrey, and also it's not on Sport 3 until 9.45pm.
Except now the order of play's out, that's changed again...
Charleston will begin on Sport 2 at 5pm, then switches to Extra 2 at 7pm, when Sport 2 will cover Bellis v Broady from Monterrey. Once that game's over, Sport 2 will go back to Charleston and Extra 2 will go to Monterrey.
I feel sorry for whoever is commentating. Why not just leave Monterrey on 2 after Broady v Bellis, and Charleston on Extra 2 with 3 joining Charleston later?
Can't answer that one for you - but I do know that the Sport 2 games will have BT Sport comms, and Sport 3/Extra 2 will be the World Feed straight to air.
If last night wasn't confusing enough, Charleston is on BTS2 and Monterrey on BTS3 tonight, but they're swapping channels for the Heather Watson match, then swapping back after.
edit: luckily they both had matches finishing at the same time so are able to switch quite easily after the ad breaks.
There's only one gallery producing the BT commentary, and I think switching it between channels was deemed too complex, so instead the gallery stays on one channel and the world feed moves. I appreciate this isn't great for the viewer, but at least next week it's Bogota and Biel so not quite sure much overlap!
On another note, Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund is live on BT Sport ESPN on Saturday evening, then gets a repeat on the 4K channel on Sunday.
They could have the BT commentary do all of the Monterrey matches and leave Charleston on the world feed, but I guess the commentators have been brought in to start when play starts in Charleston which is earlier. I don't know why they feel the need to have their own commentators when Brits are playing, the world feed is perfectly satisfactory.
Yes it will be easier less week with no overlap, but also because we have no Brits playing in Bogota.
BT showing first German Bundesliga fixture in 4K, Bayern-Dortmund is on Saturday, but conflicts with the Premier League game, A full recording will be shown on Sunday. Meanwhile The UEFACL QF between Dortmund and Monaco on Tuesday becomes the first Live 4K UEFACL match from overseas.
