It appears that an image of Peter Simon that was tweeted in, with clothes missing that previously aired on bid in full motion is now too raunchy for them. I don't think it contravenes TV Forum's policy on sexually explicit images, so here is the image concerned:
EDIT: Things are back to normal on both channels.

Bid has been utilising the old speed auction/bid plus studio as a studio for different segments - it's been used for Car Care, with spartan decor, and is currently being used in the Toybox segment, with a few more bits and bobs. Peter Simon's got a comfy chair and is laughing at two dogs.
If the picture quality wasn't so low, the gap at the end of the break wasn't so long, and they didn't make such a fuss about it, it would be a lot better.

No, it's being used for various segments as I mentioned up the page. They redress it a little for the different segments they've done in there, starting off spartan and, frankly, half a job with Car Care, and becoming more and more tarted up with things like Toy Box.
Bid is live in the old Bid Plus set today. Are they giving the main Bid set another new theme?

I received a correspondence from Bid Shopping this week and it still had the Speed Auction and Price Dropper logos on the letterhead still. Probably testament to how suddenly the channel was closed down. Let's hope they didn't get any Bid Plus or Express Shopping letterheads printed.
I do wonder if Speed Auction or at least a third channel with yet another name might relaunch for December.
Also, shoppingtelly.com report that Mrs. Paul Coia AKA Debbie Greenwood is joining Bid.

Could they be getting ready for paring back to one channel? Maybe it's just a test to see if it increases sales. Perhaps the price drop gallery would explode if it had to handle the ex-bid plus studio?
What was this correspondence?
Seems odd that Bid are using it given the expanse of space they already have available to them, when Price Drop are so short of space they can barely get a shot of the particular item they're selling.

Just a "Welcome to Bid Shopping" letter with my customer number etc. It also told me what channels I could find Bid and Price Drop on, as if I didn't know.
