I'd say it's an audio network piece but it doesn't sound like it's from that library.

Yeah - most, if not all, of their music comes from www.audionetwork.com

The speed auction video stream is freezing on the website. The new look reminds me of the 2005-2008 days when they go back to the gavel.

I've noticed that the main Bid music is currently being used by SCS for their Exit List sponsorship.

It is called Casino Challenge and it is fantastic.

Okay, given it 5 minutes which is as much as I can take.

Quick review:
Added Theatre: excellent
Gavel-spinning skills: poor
Trails/breakbumper CGI: akin to the crap Krypton Factor 1996 stuff
Trails/breakbumper Music: bloody awful - how do they expect a viewer to endure it every 3 minutes?

Does remind me of better times though. Am I totally imagining this or did Price Drop originally have a plunger the presenter would press to start the drop?

Didn't Greg break it?

Speed Auction now show Bid branded pre-recorded items. No quantities, no pretending it is live, just a bit of spiel about the product, a price (which doesn't drop or change during the presentation) and a phone number (which appears to be unique to each item). Despite being branded as Bid, this is not the same as is going out on Bid who are doing their usual live programmes.

The broadcast does not seem to be linked to the website meaning that the product currently on the channel doesn't appear next to the live stream on their website.

Yeah they have been doing random sells like this for a while now. It started ad christmas and now and then they just stick the VT's back on air.

I remember when Speed Auctions were the pre-recorded inserts.

I think they would be better making the channel a pre-record and just slotting the auction in. Then they could broadcast all day instead of from 5-12pm.

Who would watch and more importantly buy from such a boring channel?

I notice that Price Drop are doing 'What's in the bag?' for a fiver at the moment. However, if you look on the website the 'Live on TV now' section shows exactly what it is. It's a necklace or something with a pad lock and two keys.

They also don't tell you how many they have left on the channel, but the website also reveals that information too.

Why when they rebranded from Bid TV to just Bid did they drop those nice 3D graphics?
