With the Olympics ending, all of the temporary Olympic channels have a slide saying - 'Thank you for watching Rio 2016'.
Freesat, Sky and Virgin viewers will see the Olympic channels get removed from the EPG.
After the Olympics (for Freeview/Youview):
BBC Four reverts back to its time sharing arrangement with CBeebies
All Olympic channels will be removed from COM8
CBBC HD to move back to PSB3 (BBC FOUR HD and CBeebies HD moves to COM8)
BBC RB1 gains a full stream back.

Edit: All Olympics channels (except RB1) are now showing a Red Button slide.

BBC Four has removed the BBC ribbon animation due the Olympics have now finished and instead has its own holding animation with the logo in the centre and also has moving orange tiles. It also has calm wind chimes as background music.

BBC Olympic Freeview changes being undone now .....

CBBC HD to move back to PSB3 (BBC FOUR HD and CBeebies HD moves to COM8)

Which is just so stupid. They should have taken the opportunity to keep BBC4 on PSB3.

Would have been preferable if CBBC HD, CBeebies HD and BBC 4 HD were on PSB3, and RB1 go on COM8 instead. But they can't win whatever they do, so at least things are going back to the way they were.

Looks like I'm wrong about BBC Four HD and CBeebies HD's post Olympic positions on Freeview. It's reverting back to COM7 rather than COM8.
In other news - Looks like The Craft Channel is taking up LCN 88 on a COM8 slot (launches 1st Sept on Freeview).
I dearly hope that the 16th stream on COM5 actually houses a decent channel.

Can't understand the appeal of one craft channel never mind three.

The BBC have screwed up the configuration changes for SD viewers - RB0 is still on air, simulcasting Final Score with RB1 . Possibly for the rest of today, BBC FOUR and CBeebies won't be time sharing as usual.

I'd have hoped that some of the streams would be used by ch4 for the Paralympics. This happened during London 2012, although this was possibly only on Sky/Freesat.

Possible but the BBC would still need to reconfigure - and since when have Freeview done one channel retune when three would do?

(will post rest in Paralympic thread)

BBC FOUR and CBeebies now on usual timesharing arrangement
RB1 and CBBC gain full streams back
RB0 is dormant.

Olympic reconfiguration complete.

Excellent knock on effect from the Olympic take over of BBC FOUR, the build-up of Television Proms slots. A recorded Prom has aired tonight and for the preceding three nights too.
