Well he did go Incognito for a bit.

This might, or might not interest someone here.

I was about to ask what became of ITN/Channel 4 News Washington Correspondent David Smith from back in the 90's. I remember him well and liked his reporting. Well I thought I'd do a quick research first and found an interesting article about a complete change of direction - he's now a winemaker in Argentina!

"When David Smith ended his career as a globetrotting foreign correspondent, covering world wars and historic events for ITN News and Channel 4, he thought he would take a more relaxed step by becoming a winemaker. In Argentina. Things have been just as busy, if not as newsworthy, ever since. Here he shares his thoughts on how Argentina has evolved over the last 30 years to be a serious wine producing country."

Also, he joined the United Nations Information Centre in Washington DC, representing UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon in the Americas for a decade up until 2014.

Which ties in with his wife, the aforementioned Sonia Ruseler who is Argentine born

Phil Gayle is now at DW having done stints at BBC Radio Oxford. He's also the voice of the easyJet safety demo (and was the voice of bmi's).
