Sian Williams moves to Channel 5

She seems to be doing alright and 5 news seems to have a more serous tone.

Some changes to 5 News today, coinciding with Sian's arrival. Instead of the top story, the titles followed by the rest of the headlines, it is now the full headlines and a short sting. The titles appear to have been scrapped. The set has changed slightly, it is slightly darker (similar to Newstalk Live). I don't know if these changes have been made today, but certainly recent changes.

5 News Tonight still scheduled at 18:55-19:00.

She is doing well, adding a bit of gravitas to 5 News. Just a shame about that horrid set.

New Facebook graphic too

If only Dirty Des gave ITN a bit more money to play with when 5 News moved to N&S, the CSO would be on a par with ITV News. Still looks cheap and tacky, but I like the Facebook lower third.

The intro is so bland and dull, almost apologetic for interupting you rather than being bold and confident in what they're offering.
