I guess the next question is, will Nuacht RTÉ and Nuacht TG4 now look the same? They've always been both produced by RTÉ News yet had completely different on-air looks...
The move of Nuacht to Co. Galway was covered on, er, Nuacht RTÉ tonight. But the show still has the same CSO-mock of the main RTÉ set (that means no wide shots etc) and still the same titles etc as RTÉ News. The show also moved to 17:45 today.
Take a look at 6:52 in today's bulettin though, and you'll see what appears to be a new set, in the same style as the Dublin set but with a monitor in the middle and space for two presenters. Can't see Nuacht RTÉ ever being double headed given its still only ten minutes long.
Sorry to disappoint...but I'm pretty sure I know where those RTE Two ident clips came from. Clips were provided to the idents.tv website some months ago. Pretty sure they've been pinched from there.
There's quite a lot of stuff off TV-Ark on there too.
So, don't get too excited about this guy's contacts.

Not surprised really, everything on his channel is ripped off from elsewhere or just a camera pointed at a TV, makes sense now. Nevertheless still nice to see the titles clean.
Nice loud drilling sound during the final 30 seconds of tonight's Six-One. It began whilst Sharon was reading the markets round-up. They dipped the studio mics briefly but turned them back up for the presenters' closing remarks. Not sure if it occurred earlier in the programme too?
