Five minutes or so, usually repeated between segments from shows like Nationwide, recorded weather forecasts, repeats of the children's News2day, weather/news/history photo galleries.
I have read there are separate news bulletins at 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm, 3.00pm, 4.00pm and 11.00pm -
what is the length of these bulletins?
I assume they are then repeated until the next live bulletin or the next RTE One News bulletin?

Back in the late 80s and early 90s at the BBC, Michael Buerke used to do the One O'Clock News and Nine O'Clock News in the same day. Must save money.
Eileen Whelan is on again for the Nine O'Clock News. She did the One O'Clock News earlier today as well.

I don't remember Newsround on the BBC ever taking off for school holidays.
news2day have said recently that they will be off for mid-term & return from 3:45pm from Monday the 25th of February.

That's nuts. if the schools are off for mid-term, the target audience will be more likely to be watching TV.

Joey Jones is now on with Gerald Howlin talking to Miriam O'Callaghan on tonight's Prime Time. They're talking about the result of tonight's Brexit vote in Westminster from RTÉ in Dublin. He is in great form tonight telling the country about his knowing's with Theresa May's stance on Brexit.
