Is BBC London still coming from their headquarters in a new purpose built studio or are they broadcasting from somewhere else?

BBC London TV and BBC London 94.9 now come from the Egton Wing (next to Broadcasting House and formerly home of Radio 1) at the moment. It left 35 Marylebone High Street a couple of weeks ago where it had been broadcasting from since the region launched in 2000. AIUI, Egton is a 'temporary' solution too, as they will move into the new BBC News complex in the new wing of Broadcasting House when it's ready. The Persian and Arabic TV services also come from Egton I think.

I just caught the end of it- he looked pretty much embarrassed to be there

I think it shows how cheap he really is, he was on Live at Studio Five the day too.

Ah a new version of itvlocal is up and running I noticed just now, how long has this been 'live' ??

A very light version of before but it's better than nothing I guess for those few dozen (!) who still watch this broken down version of Meridian Tonight

Does anyone have any clue as to when Fred is 'leaving the building' ?! Ian Axton may return after he's gone then

Wonderful now I probably would still watch if she replaced Sangeeta, can anyone tell me in future when she is on ? Is it fairly often or not ?

More like never. Since the changes she did report on Meridian Tonight and presented one program. But I believe she has either left or got the sack.

Oh right so guess the clip on youtube must be that one time then - I did PM her from her youtube channel but doubt if I'll get any reply Very Happy

She's a true pro with a good sense of humour and should have been picked over Sangeeta

Funny how ITV cut back on local news to save costs then waste 8 million signing up that berk Paul O'Grady

I think she is or was used as cover for when nobody else is available- usually bank holidays.

I never watch South-east today but saw a youtube video of the goodbyes...so Goeff Clarke simply got the push the next day after his co-presenter Beverley Thompson did then, what b******* the beeb are, he was so curtious about it though with a touch of Alan Partridge I thought...I hate change

The new team is pretty mediocre, most of their presenters lack charisma or chemistry- Rob Smith is a competent newsreader but does not really come across as personable like Geoff, Polly does but is a bit like a frightened child.

Obviously Kaddy would be the best female choice- especially as they have 2 other weather girls, not sure they have any males who are really that good.

What on earth has happened to Meridian Tonight?
I watched it tonight with Paul ?? and Stacey ?? and didn't recognise anyone except Derek Johnson.
I've even lost that "gosh it's 6 O'Clock I must turn on the regional news" urge.
How sad that my once south-east edition of the programme now bears little resemblance to the area I live in.
Presentation of the show is shoddy with a team of reporters who quite clearly don't know the area.

Its all a very sad imitation of what used to be.

It's all cost cutting at the end of the day and it shows. I notice Paul O'Grady is still a fan of the programme though.
