I would think they all get on well, the word hate is far too a stronger word to use, that's playground stuff ! These are professional people who have to deal with all types all the time but some you will build a rapore with more than others ant this was what Fred and Debbie had just the same with ian and Sangeeta, in fact they could be married they both had the same silly sense of humour !

Ian hopes to back on TV soon he tells me in an email, whatever that means who can say, replacing Fred eventually perhaps ?

Going by the comments on Meridian's website (blog), it seems that many viewers do not like Sangeeta, that's not "nastiness" or anything personal, I'm sure she is a lovely lady, but she is not suited to co host this show... Her & Fred make a bit of an odd couple...

Well, whatever. Firstly, when I say 'I don't think Fred likes Sangeeta' - it was meant in a jokey sort of way - they clearly haven't built up a chemistry yet and at the moment it seems like they're not going to. Time will tell.

A lot of you new South viewers obviously get a different appeal of Sangeeta which we in the SE never have. I think also down to the fact that the SE has had so many different newsteams over the years and we're just a bit fed up.

As for hating Sangeeta - I don't hate her personally and I don't think I've ever stated on this forum that I do. I just don't rate her as a presenter, never have but there we are, people obviously see differently which is fair enough and time will tell to see if they develop more of a rapport.

As for Fred being wooden...naaa, but he's certainly very varnished

Maybe it will all go pear shaped. Perhaps Fred will pack it in and Ian will return but even then it won't be the same relaxed style. No time for ad lib or jokes as it's all timed to the second now to fit in with the other pre-recorded edition...

Btw anyone know what's happened to Martin Davis ? He does'nt even seem to be on ITV National weather these days ? Also what about that other one the ex actor one ?

I'm sure I've seen Martyn Davies on the national weather in the last fortnight or so.

As for Robin McCallum (formerly Lermitte), he's a regular on the London weather along with Chrissie Reidy.

I think he's away on holiday.

Wrong weather for Meridian SE viewers tonight, I now know what's going on in the other half of the region and unlike when it happened a couple of weeks ago, no apology. I guess because the south actually got the correct version?

Just thin the SE version ever is live?

At the start of today's Meridian Tonight, Fred said "the headlines where you are"

I wasn't a regular viewer of Meridian News South, but I've never heard him say this before. This could be a sign of his true feelings about the changes. Maybe he feels that the region is too big to mean anything anymore, and is too big to be referred to as "the South", a reference which could alienate some viewers.

Some are getting abusive also I noticed, commemts will keep coming in but it will not make any difference....

Sangeeta tries her best to keep jolly but it's not working with Fred ! Age difference won't help, he's twice her age

It aint Sangeeta's fault hes alot older. And it aint her fault she got picked over Debbie Thrower.

And im sure by having two pensioners presenting for a massive region such as Meridian now, would alienate far more viewers.

I like how everyone is saying that Sangeeta's not working with Fred than Fred's not working with Sangeeta.
