Channel 5 News is revamping its weekday 6.30pm programme to become "NewsTalk Live" - a dedicated home for topical news debate.
From July 8th, the programme will have a brand new set and a focus on hosting live debates between informative and opinionated guests about the news agenda's biggest talking points. Viewers that have had their daily digest of the day's news in Channel 5's 5pm bulletin will be offered this different, engaging proposition for more in-depth analysis and comment on the stories of the day. They also have a chance to make their views about the top stories known. Emma Crosby will present the new programme in addition to continuing to anchor Channel 5 News.

The 5 NEWS website seems to have had more activity this year with clips being added and blogs re introduced or made more use of.
A lot more references has been made too.
Perhaps this is because of move plus the 6:30 (second news programme of the evenings) have always had more of a guest influenced programme, FIVE NEWS at 7 with Isla Traquir anyone?
The name is not right and will probably change or get altered as the programme finds it feet.
Could they not take 'The Project' name like is TEN in Australia?
Why didn't they do this instead of LIVE from Studio 5? This seems much safer.

yes. both shows have improved hugely since ITN took over. The Sky version was very downmarket and celeb-obsessed towards the end. Now there's news in it again
