Wonder if the same thing will happen to Richard Pallot when he returns from covering Italy for ITV?

Reporters are always going to areas to tell us the public have been told not to go to those areas.

Really? Or possibly like any other comfortably well off 72 year old, in a nice looking home, he probably won't give too much of a fook?

You don't know any journalists, do you? Any journalist worth his salt will tell you that they always want to be part of a massive breaking news story. Being forced to sit out a major story because of something like a quarantine, that will stick in a journalist's craw.

I haven't met Jon Snow, though I would like to, I think he'd be a very interesting conversationalist, and a great guest, but I'm realistic enough to know that with him being in London most of the time, and me being in the South West, that's not likely to happen.

Sometimes when I say things, the way people react leads me to believe they don't believe me or they're not listening, and in an era where media personalities, journalists especially, are distrusted more than they're trusted, I actually want people to listen to me, to trust me. I might not get everything right 100% of the time, but I do my damndest never to lie, and I never make stuff up, so when somebody actually says "I believe you", that is actually gratifying, and heartwarming and rare.
