Bob Friend RIP

Sky News Presenter Bob Friend has died of cancer. He died earlier this morning at the age of 70. Bob posted on the Sky News blog earlier this year.

Oh no! That is really sad news. He was a great personality and even featured in a few movies.

Understandably they seem quite tearful on Sky News.

Sky News are covering the news very well, in particular Kay Burley.

It must be awful to discuss the news of someone's death you know personally.

Sky News used to be great when Bob was on in the evenings. Compare the days of Bob Friend and Viv Creegor to the terrible 15-minute loop we get now. Terrible.

Now that IS sad news. He is a legend. Wasn't there a clip of him somewhere with a bottletop on his head during a broadcast.

Anna Botting did a nice report about Bob, It is really sad, he was a great journalist and anchor.

I was very sad to hear the news of Bob's death. Quite simply he was brilliant journalist, but also a very good entertainer. Nobody who ever saw Bob could forget him.
