Yes, this was revealed earlier on this year at BBC News' Festival.

Quote:
James Harding: I was delighted to see Gary O’Donoghue is going to Washington to cover US politics for the next two years

Just thought I'd summarise the "knowns" and the "unknowns" in the 2014 correspondent/presenter reshuffle:

What we know:
Jon Sopel moves from Global on BBC World to become North America Editor
Matthew Amroliwala to switch from BBC News Channel to present Global on BBC World
Mark Mardell to move to BBC Radio 4 to present The World This Weekend and The World at One (Fridays)
Shaun Ley moves from the World This Weekend/WATO to take a broader presenting role across Radio 4, World Service & World News
Victoria Derbyshire is moving from BBC Radio 5 Live to BBC News Channel

Gavin Hewitt is switching from Europe Editor to become BBC News Chief Correspondent
Katya Adler is becoming Europe Editor in Brussels
Damian Grammaticus is moving from Beijing to Brussels
Matthew Price is moving from Brussels to BBC Radio 4 Today's Chief Correspondent
Ben Wright is on a short term transfer from the political staff to Brussels
Jenny Hill is moving from BBC Breakfast to Berlin
Steve Evans is moving from Berlin to Seoul
Lucy Williamson is moving from Seoul to Paris (replacing Christian Fraser)

Sarah Rainsford is moving from Havana to Moscow (replacing Daniel Sandford)

Mark Lowen is moving from Athens to Istanbul
James Reynolds is moving from Istanbul to Rome (replacing Alan Johnston)

Shaimaa Khalil is moving from BBC World Service Newsday to Islamabad
Aleem Maqbool has moved from Islamabad to Washington
Gary O'Donoughue is moving from being BBC Radio 4 Chief Political Correspondent to Washington to cover US Politics
Ian Pannell has been appointed International Correspondent, a roving brief based in Washington

What we don't know:
Where is Christian Fraser going to next (he is temporarily presenting on BBC News/BBC World News)?
Where are Daniel Sandford and Alan Johnston going next?
Who will be the new correspondents in Athens, Beijing and Havana?

There'll also need to be a new correspondent on BBC Breakfast, and a new Chief Political Correspondent for BBC Radio 4.

As I say, it's like putting a jigsaw together. I'm sure we'll find the remaining pieces shortly!

But what about the "known unknowns" and the "unknown unknowns"?

I know this is radio news, but Sanchia Berg and Zoe Conway have appeared on-screen in the past.

Are you sure the position isn't at Radio 4 with Gary O'Donoughue moving to US Affairs.

I'm pretty sure it is the Radio 4 job.
