I happened to hear the end of the 7-8am UKT edition of The World Today on the BBC World Service. As many of you will know Komla has still been a presenter of it on his 'off' weeks. But they announced today that this was his last edition as he is joining BBC World News. So I guess this means he is getting a full time shift and not sharing with Naga. He was quite vague as to what he would be doing.

Big Komla will be the presenter of the new daily Africa programme on BBC World News TV. A live programme, if I'm not mistaken, and possibly called Focus on Africa?

A Week Without Willcox? How will this thread manage to stay open?

Hopefully it won't.

Have you noticed how this thread has nearly 350 pages more than the 'presentation' thread?

Yes. I don't get your point.

Jacqui Oatley making a bit of a change in presenting sport on the BBC News Channel tonight. She's very professional and has a good presentation.

She seems to have gotten better. When she did a few shifts in London a few months ago she seemed very shouty and uppity, quite like Susanna Streeter. Quite good now though!

Technically there is one of this thread (491 pages) but then for pres there's 150+466=616 pages

What was your point anyway?

Tim is back, presenting the late morning shift on World. Very Happy

This 'A Week Without Willcox' idea didn't quite go according to plan then, I gather? Very Happy

Finally, a proper Sunday pairing for Breakfast tomorrow - Jon & Naga! Karthi will be on sport.

Is Naga still doing the Andrew Marr news from Salford tomorrow? Just a tad excited to see how the set-up will be.

Also, why does Mike only do 2 days on Breakfast? Does he do any shifts on World? Seems a bit wasteful for just 2 days a week.

Mike is rarely on World these days. Occassionally reporting, but not presenting.

Just realised it's been a year since Adam Parsons returned to BBC News as a news and business presenter. In such a short space of time, he has presented regularly on the News Channel and World News, and made occasional appearances on Breakfast and BBC One, and covered lots of breaking news events such as the Oslo attacks and the capture of Colonel Gaddafi. What a great year, and a great man. Flexibility at its best. Heroic. A credit to journalism and the BBC.

Long may you continue, Adam.

I hate to appear to be moaning all the time, but do we really have to have these sickly sweet fawning posts about Adam Parsons on an almost daily basis? He's a BBC journalist. He's done his job - some say well - for a year. He's hardly found a cure for the common cold. Again, I'm sorry to be a moaner, but I really do find these posts creepy to say the least.
