I'm using Genome. It's not always 100% accurate due to holidays and last minute presenter changes, but is the only information I've got to conduct this exercise. When I get to 2009 I use BBC News Fix which is more robust and reliable.

My aim is to finish the Six up to 2009, then do the Ten from 2000-2009, then do the same for the 1990s. Any sarcasm or funny business and I will be finishing the count early, which will spoil it for those who are excited to see the presenter counts from the 1990s which are less documented on this forum.

World?

No unfortunately nothing for World or News 24/channel. Just Breakfast, Six & Nine/Ten.

Can you be persuaded with whisky? Sherry? Chocolate ? Anything? 😜

Enjoying this thread, by the way. Some reminders of long gone names.

I remember thinking back in the day that Jules Botfield and Sian Williams looked very similar and some reports in the tabloids suggesting that Sian was brought in because she looked like Jules. Lol. Seems farcical now, but that’s what it was.

I used to like Jules Botfield (later George) too. A very nice warm presenter. Whatever happened to her?

Doing this has also reminded me of Sonia Deol who was a relief on Breakfast 2008-09. I thought she was awful! Always shouting through the programme. From the looks of it she was eventually replaced by Naga Munchetty.

She has been presenting the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Kent for the last ten years.

Was the Huw (5) and Fiona (7) before the new line up? Or did they present double headed?

It was in the first 2 weeks of January before the pendulum swung back to double headed presentation. Neither of them again presented the Six until at least 2008 when it went single headed, apart from on location.
