It certainly seems odd to have the promo filled with the '10' but top and tailed by the current logo.

They do the channel promos very well in Australia though.

Come on now. I suppose if you want to be technical about it, but it's simply a recoloured version of the same logo used since 1991.

I see it as, why change something that is globally recognised and, in my opinion, with the tweaks made last year, still looks modern and represents a modern broadcaster.
Take the Channel 4 logo for example. Since 1982 they have used, what I class as, the same logo. They have given it subtle changes and tweaks, and it still looks great today and I'm sure Channel 4 wouldn't contemplate scrapping it.
I see the Network Ten logo in the same way.
