Excellent as always!!

Only to tiny little things I'd say to make it perfect. One of the place names is 'Midlands'; normally it's cities rather than regions that appear on the titles. Secondly, perhaps the formation of the actual name 'BBC Breakfast' could be a little more prominent. When I watched it, it sort of appeared out of the corner of my eye and didn't really catch my attention.

But these are little nit-picks of mine. This is absolutely brilliant and probably better than what we'll actually end up with.

Including 'Midlands' was a request I got in a PM from Mike W I also added 'Pebble Mill' as a reference to another morning show Smile!

Laughing Fair enough!

Gosh, I'm gobsmacked. It's absolutely stunning, Martin. It is, indeed, the best video mock ever produced on the forum. Wow. The wonderful shot at the beginning, warm and sunris-ey, and then those wonderful glitterball globe shots before the form-up.

Fantastic.

I'm sorry about the confusion Martin, by Midlands I thought places within the Midlands because it seemed to be avoided (Birmingham or Stoke for example) but great work none the less!

Let's be realistic. Next Tuesday.

Sterling work as ever, Martin. It's like all the best elements of various BBC News titles have been gracefully combined to perfection. Top job.

Amazing. Brilliant animation and design, I have been looking forward to this since the thread was posted a few days ago.

I have to say I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed because I felt it wasn't as good an execution as your 2008 map idea, and some of the shots were confusing, like the sunrise/horizon shot at the beginning, as clever and striking as that shot is, I was trying to understand how it worked, is the red background being split into two? Is it supposed to look like the sun rising up? I wasn't too sure on that one. I also felt that the visuals of the orb just moving around wasn't particularly exciting, and also at the end the orb seems to wobble into the final shot.

But, of course, this is miles, miles better than many other work produced on this forum in the last couple of years and I did not expect anything less from you as I have followed your mocks and other designs for the last few years now, and your mocks and recreations have always been of the highest quality. It's astonishing, to see the work put into this and the brilliant outcome, just like the real thing. The real test will be on Tuesday, when we see how the 'real' titles compare. Who knows, maybe people will prefer this? Smile

I can also safely say that you can probably ignore my opinion considering everyone else has also unanimously stated this is a brilliant design, which it is, and that I also could probably never do anything nearly as half as good as this. Smile Just a few niggles from me, that's all.

I think Rob and Asa's comments are exactly right - and not only does it match the visual qualities of a BBC News sequence in every aspect, this design is superior to the actual version.

I knew this would set the bar high - this must surely be the gold standard for mockup designs.

Lovely design, and brilliantly executed.
It fits in beautifully with the current branding, with your own gorgeous stylings.

Thanks for the critique. I agree with some parts. The final shot could do with more speed, The opening shot is a combination of the current breakfast opening, and the Newsday opening, and is supposed to be "sunrise-y".

If I could change one this, it would be that shots two and three were more distinct, either different backing, or one with the globe zooming in & one out.

Otherwise, brilliant.
