ITV: Redesigned logos, ECPs & Promos

Logos:
Two types for each, stacked and horizontal.

I am working on some regional idents, which is interesting, but they will not be done until tomorrow.

Please give honest views/criticism!

The only thing I don't like about them is the ITV 2 and 3 colour scheme being the same as ITV1.

I'm ok with that.
It's ITV's colours, though I can see how it's easily confusing.

One idea I was thinking of was similar to ITV i's logo, where the logo would either be black or white and the 4th square would be a different colour to symbolise the channel. Though I can never decide on the colours.

I was think red for i, blue for 1, gold (yellow) for 3 (as it's mostly gold programming), but then I wouldn't like to see green on ITV2, maybe they could have black or white. It's just an idea.

The image don't work

Terrible. I'm sorry, the only concept I like is Corrie having it's own background on the end credits and the idea of the ITV News logo. They use the new ITV Weather logo and replace Weather with News.

having all the logos shared the exact same colours, could lead to confusion, especially at small sizes, where the number isnt very clear.

There not outstanding - but you can see some thought has gone into it.

The logos are a nice little reworking of the current logo - and look more significantly different than some efforts posted here.

The ECP is quite badly layed out (I'll let someone else explain safe areas!) but the background to it is an improvement.

The promo endcaps look good - but are too similar to Channel 4.

Don't give up on these though - it's obvious the idea has potential.

Can I suggest rather than trying to produce a whole set of presentation for ITV, begin by concentrating on just a couple of things - I'd suggest the ECP and promo captions to begin with.

Have a go at imroving these, experimenting with colours, backgrounds etc, and when you think you've got the design right (this shouldn't be your first or even second attempt!), post it here and begin to think about other aspects.


P.S. Another idea following on from comments about the logos having the same colour. If they do have the same colour, I think the numeric part has to have a stronger identity and be more of a logo, not just a font!

It is very unfair when people criticse and then don't suggest an improvement or even why, especially when effort has gone in

Also - ditch the font your using. It looks quite amateurish.
