BBC Newsroom North West

Here is a possible aston for a fictitious proogramme from the BBC for the North West.
Title design and sidebar to come later.
I designed it on Paint because that is what is on the computers in the library that I use.

1) bbc newsroom north-west is a bit of a mouthful. Try and shorten it or if they were on tv they would be shortning. I guess where you got it (newsroom south east).
2) Not colourful enough. Could be brighter and have some more North-western colours, if u knwo what i mean! More red and even blue.

1:I've remaned it back to BBC Look North West one syllable less than BBC Newsroom North West.
2:I've tried to get a more industial feel to it than going with the usual BBC News corpotate reds and so on.

Does that suit the North West better in colour terms than the greys and whites?

I would say the greys and whites suite it better, its nice to make them differnt yet not to differ to much from the BBC News family, the blue look is fine but i think it would be better for a region like Reporting Scotland.
Having said that look at 'The World' there scheme is green so i guess anything would look ok.

I see where you're coming from but the way how I am coming from is that they only have to have an element of the generic look on them. So in my case the font.
