Is it me, or, is the market for NOW TV boxes and sticks saturated? I'm seeing very few in the usual stockists. Hardly any of those being sold at full price, even some sticks being extra discounted, Alternatively are stocks being withdrawn pending a 1080 re-launch later this year?
Incidentally I've heard a suggestion for August for that too.

August would be the sensible time to launch the 1080p service. I'd like to think if they add it as a bolt-on that customers get at least a trial to test it out.
As for the boxes/sticks. I think it was one device too many. The standard box and Smart Box are more than enough to cater for customers needs. If they introduced a streaming stick instead of the box initially, those would have shifted.
I'm hoping we'll hear the start date for 1080p streaming on Thursday when Sky announce their results. It was six months ago that the company trailed this at their previous half-year announcement. Probably September/October I feel. If we were to get in for the start of the 2018/9 FAPL season we'd have heard by now surely.
