Is a plane taking off and landing because of a minor technical fault really worthy of national "Breaking News" coverage? This is almost literally an everyday occurrence. Heck, I've been aboard a plane that had to go into a holding pattern, dump fuel and return to the airport because of a minor landing gear issue. It wasn't all that interesting even for most people aboard the aircraft, let alone anyone else.
