Well, those who are discussing it are hoping we'll all be back by this time next week (the mods have reopened the CC thread with one of their mealy-mouthed justifications that in no way addresses what actually happened - and of course all the posts are gone now, so who's to say otherwise).
Until next week then I'll start making contingency plans for an armed uprising.
EDIT: Eh, what part did daisy or JD play in it? Bizarre. Rhum was on his last nerve with the mods as it was, I doubt he'll be back even if they do 'allow' it.

My first question is are you permanently banned, or just for x number of days?
It is true that Rhumble, Daisydee and John_Dough were all given the push as well. Again, I'm not sure if these are temporary or permanent bans.
I also thought I was for it too, when one by one all members of that private discussion were coming up "User banned" - however I haven't been.
I have to say I'm somewhat shocked and annoyed at the way events played out yesterday. As per usual a troll who thinks they are above the rule of DS goes off on one (even declaring "I'm not going anywhere, but you may well be"), hinting that they may have had a friend on the Mod team backing them up. However a sizable bunch were ejected, with the perpetrator still roaming about - seemingly unpunished. Why on earth any of you deserved a ban is outrageous.
Yes, it does all seem rather fishy, doesn't it, especially considering the fact that most of the banned were in that (entirely innocent) group PM. I'd reported 'her' for attempting to disrupt the thread just before that, though, so that may be what did for me (first time I'd ever flagged a post, but I figured by that stage 'she' would have reported me anyway, so what the hell).
I dunno if it's a permanent ban or not though Mark, all I get when trying to sign in now is "Sorry, permission denied". They have offered me no warning or notification of any kind, by any method, on or off-site. No emails, nothing. No option to even contact forum support for an explanation (that just manifests itself as a blank page). I can still read the forums, but that's it.
I'll try and sign in again next week, see what occurs. I was due a rest from DS anyway.
