That's the problem. Most ISPs (including ADSL providers) use DHCP to assign IP addresses, so one reboot of the connection device (PC / router) and he's back.
I'm going to take this slightly off topic (or more on topic if you compare it to the IP thing above), but I've just lost Sky Three from freeview after scanning for channels. It was working until sometime last week, before the rescan it said it had no signal. Any idea why it's gone? Other channels are OK.
