I uploaded this set mock about a year ago now, and just thought I'd update it for how BBC Northern Ireland would hypothetically use it for the election coverage (and potentially for the Stormont elections in 2016).

The hexagonal rostrum and walkway would nicely sit on top of the existing rostrum, so no need to remove it, and could be set up over the Bank Holiday weekend with Newsline using the other side of the studio in the meantime. The main desk would seat the presenter and the political correspondents/experts/psephologists.

The Soft Area would be used for interviews with politicians and the touchscreen would be used for analysis.

Also their is this cube motif that I added in the centre of the studios for sweeping shots/pans. It also hides a monitor on the other side.

I also had an idea, that somebody who is good a motion graphics could use, that the hexagon motif would actually work well for Northern Ireland Elections as you could somehow include the Giant's Causeway into the design. Just a little thought.

I think this is good, I could imagine watching that (not on my regional news though, as one, you know the Yorks and Lincs studio is tiny, and two, I don't watch my regional news)

Do I get bonus points for guessing?
