I was watching Lorraine yesterday and I just wanted to see if I could come up with some ideas for the show, I've started off with the opening titles. Please let me know what you think and if I should continue. All comments and feedback welcome Smile

If you look on my YouTube channel you will see that this was my second attempt as the first didn't go to plan.

These are ok but only because they are basically the Lorraine titles. Albeit the shapes go in a different direction this isn't groundbreaking. I'm not a fan of the glowing colours coming from the sides.

However, my constructive criticism for this would be to try and give it a new look. If you like the colour scheme use it - but in a different way. Also, I suggest trying to change the astons in the video to match yours. At the end of the day it's a nice attempt but it doesn't differ much from the actual ones.

Hope this helps somehow.

I find this even more boring than the current graphics. Also have you not seen the new titles for the programme, that use Lorraine and a tablet??? Maybe as a break sting this would be adequate, but not really for the actual show. Also feels like you're trying to change something for the sake of it. If you proposed a totally different idea it would be reasonable, but for Lorraine, the current graphic package is fine!

Try multiple shots of your circles from different angles, that would improve it vastly, also the final fade to studio needs some work, possible let the pink circle fade to a cutout of the studio and zoom through?

I disagree. Although what you are saying is a good suggestion - for another mock - I think it will totally confuse him. Henry has just suggested he recreate it entirely which I also support and Bruce has confirmed that he is looking at different designs. What you say tells him to keep his current design and not peruse earlier advice.

How about have different shots of Lorraine or the Lorraine 'team' (Mark Heyes, James Tanner, Dan Wooton) in the circles?

He's entitled to his own opinion - his advice doesn't have to conform with your's or HenryL96's. Let him say what he wants - personally I think it's the best advice he's had. You can disagree with him - but you can't tell him what to say based on what you said. There was only two real pieces of advice before anyway. It wasn't controversial and this is a forum - he can say what he thinks because he is entitled to his opinion and he is trying to help the mocker. I don't think Bruce12345 is stupid enough to get confused by having different pieces of advice. It's his mock so he is free to do what he wants, he doesn't have to follow anyone's advice if he doesn't want to. He doesn't have to pursue your advice.

That was one of my ideas as I don't really want to drop the circles.

I'm not going to take up this mock replying to you. You wrote a paragraph like that and did not even comment on the mock itself. I disagreed because it would seem the mocker had already gone away and begun work after Henry commented and from personal experience I know what it's like to work on something only to be asked to do something different meaning you wasted the time you spent. For some reason you are trying to create an arguement out of nothing. It is actually quite hypocritical that you would write this to inform me that I was wrong.

If Bruce was upset by what I had said sorry but I was only trying to help you.

You appeared to be attacking DanielK because he gave different advice to you. I am just reiterating the point that it's great that you give feedback, but it is his mock and he can take it in the direction he wants based on all the feedback. Anyway, I don't see how I;m being hypocritical - if you don't completely know how this forum works then you shouldn't have a go at the people explaining the ways of the forum to a new member such as yourself! You should be grateful that I was telling you about etiquette on the gallery! Wink Anyway, if you look before posting, he does want to keep the circles.

I am sorry all for the deviation.

Anyway, I will give you some feedback now!

I think these are a little boring and a not as good version as the previous titles when the flat logo first hit our screens. I don't think coloured circles moving slowly up or down the screen is very interesting at all. Have them coming in at angles and stuff, I don't know, but this could be made more interesting.

Look at the current titles. They're a bit weird, but there are some nice things that you could take from them. You could have very subtle 3d stuff. Pics of food, showbiz stuff, hollywood, health would be nice with the other things. Here is my visualisation of what I think would be nice (with a new colour scheme which IMO is nicer)

I'm not pretending these are great but I hope they help.

Last little thing is - Lorraine has too much spacing between the letters.

Good luck - it has potential
