Given the site a revamp with Vereor.
New look for the Media Forums of tv, radio, computers, music and sport and other aspects of the media.

Why do you have to register to read?

It puts a lot of people off.

Am a member and it does talk.

I registered but never got an email to activate the account!!!

Did anyone else get this?? Also can someone help me please

There was another forum around here that did that. When I mentioned it the webmaster changed it and said I was probably right. A few weeks later it was returned to it's normal state.

If there was one thing I don't intend doing is signing up to a forum with my e-mail address before I know what it's like. For all I know it could just be an attempt to get my address and to send me masses of spam.

A cynic would of course suggest that the only reason you have to register to read is because the forums and content are so lame, you wouldn't bother.

Latest PM from HUDSON. I shouldn't need to be told via PM on another forum. I should be able to browse and find out for myself.... afterall, I'm not a child and don't need it spoonfed to me.

Hmm... I've just registered, and it's pretty terrible. Most of the topics are started by Delboy, who appears to be Head Moderator.

Media Forums does not offer anything that this forum doesn't, and you get a lot less discussion. It comes as no suprise its moderators are spamming this forum for members.

I'm sure you don't. Although reading some of your critisisms regrading everything that moves and is created, i think you may do.

The radio section is doing far better than the tv section.
I guess that is why people are with tv forum and not with media forums. With 350 members i would say that it is getting there and these things don't become huge overnight - you must keep working at them until they suceed and i intend to do that very thing.

Oh and the reason i pm'd you is to show you that it wasn't a trick to get you to register so i can 'steal' your email address.


Also South Today - thats you activated - sorry a few members have complained about this. Its over my head.

I like the mews idea. I like the colour of the discussion forum but i dont think the title goes with the rest of it.
