Can't say I'd noticed any difference over the past few days - must try again.

EDIT - Oh, they've brought back last year's Autumn idents: http://www.theidentgallery.com/stv-2009-special.php#1352298069

I'm with you now. Yep, Autumn-themed trailers and promos which are similar to last years, but not the same.

This is TO good to be hidden away, Thank you Mark:mcm

From Youtube gold thread!!
From STV in 1982, the end of 'Hear Here' into a 'coming next' promo. Some adverts follow and a trail for STV's current affairs series 'Ways & Means'. We are then treated to an animated cylindrical STV symbol (is this anywhere else on the web?) into a Bob Monkhouse-fronted 'Family Fortunes'.

Skip to 11m 08s for the good stuff Smile

"Hear Here" was taped at the Gateway studios in Edinburgh. I was sometimes sent there to do the v/o for these programmes. The 'holder' (coming next) was me; I'd pre-record an entire season's worth of these in a morning! And the continuity announcer in the clip is Pauline Muirhead. The animated logo was horrible and didn't last long because it came off a VT Cart and if the commercial break failed due to a compressed air failure on the VT cart machine (which wasn't uncommon) then the ident failed as well. We quickly went back to using slides as these were reliable!
