Yeah, I think the Grandstand feel is what they're going for - intro in and out of breaks is just "BT Sport 1".

At least its now clear why they didn't retain ESPN's space-wasting bottom bar - there'd be very little screen space left for the match! And the clock is back to ticking the "correct" way again.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that ticker will be gone in no time given the amount of complaints they will get.

Wouldn't be so sure - those picture in picture shots are still there on the football.

I think that's fundamentally a different issue. People aren't use to the picture in picture shots so BT Sport need time to see if people will get used to them because people never take to that kind of innovation first off.

The thing in the rugby isn't innovation though and people are always going to annoyed with it, especially rugby fans with no interest in the football.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea.

How many people hate that? I can only remember you complaining about that on here, and gauging the Twitter reaction most people either like it or love it (one person who didn't like it wanted to - and was therefore able to - switch to NBC Sports at half time).

Football Scores Ticker, not on Aviva Premiership coverage at least during the first half this afternoon.

Interesting tonight, weather in Southern France has disrupted the Oyonnax - Stade Francais Top 14 feed, Decision all but made to abandon, no 'radio commentary' as that's being added in London.

Very rapid gathering together of filmed Aviva Premiership feature items presented by Martin Bayfield and Hugo Southwell, the latter who was in as assistant commentator.

No, they simply put it on during half-time, making no reference to it, and took it off again for the second half. And the pre-match, half-time and full-time discussion was about rugby and nothing but.

However for the last five minutes of the football they had the unwelcome return of the 3pm team news ticker, which maybe alright if they just went through the team news once and took it off, but it was a continuous loop. BT are going to have to get over the fact that after 2.45 on Saturday nobody is looking to them for news about Premier League football. If we're interested enough in the 3pm matches to want to know the team news, we're elsewhere. It's a waste of everyone's time to even try to pretend otherwise.

Somone at BT is obsessed with tickers. Stop them.

As mentioned, it's a completely different argument with picture-in-picture, it's barely on screen for more than about ten seconds at the time and it's actually connected to what you're watching. The tickers are not. Amazing how broadcasters emphasise the immersive quality of HD, then cover the screen in so much rubbish.

It just hints there is still plenty of subscription growth.

Will subscribers be reimbursed?

Of course not. They are getting exactly what they paid for.

Of course not. Especially since the majority of 'subscribers' in fact get it included within a bundle.
