Reporting Scotland with a few technical glitches throughout but nothing disastrous. Out-of-vision weather read by someone different to the main presenter was a bit odd - would have sounded smoother if the main presenter had just done it. Otherwise, only other concern is the camera angle was a little close - presenter looked terrifying... Laughing

I see the usual standby programme "Nigel Slater's Something Extra" is playing until doctors on most if not all regions..

The Sky EPG is looking a little confused - my uninformed guess would be that there was initially a plan to bring Doctors forward to 1.30, but instead they've slotted in a Simple Suppers.

Jason Dean, Assistant Editor of BBC Radio Bristol, doing Points West, as he usually does during strike days. No reports, just a few briefs then a weather forecast. Technically fine, just the one camera angle though.

Only really one glitch through the whole show, and an odd outcue - presumably to let BBC World out cleanly.

Yep... Gavin said "You've been watching BBC News.", and then it was cut to weather.

Kylie pentilo in East Midlands. very limited use of background. some reports. decent weather forecast. No technical slip ups. one report featured location interview. Kylie said Anne Davies back at 6;25 as per usual. overall very good from quite a small total news region ( not much difference in lunchtime regional bulletin than on a normal day = we ll see how rest of day goes).

I remember Chris Rogers saying "You're watching BBC News." at the end of the Six in the Feb 2013 strike, it went to the weather forecast too.

Weather forecast starting at 13.54 - could we have a 90 sec countdown? Here's hoping!
EDIT: 62 seconds!

Just over 60 seconds countdown, both stations back with Gavin, seemly live and still with the 5 clock layout in Studio C.

Richard Bacon on air as normal on 5 Live with a seemingly normal show. Another one who normally doesn't cross the picket lines.

Interesting tweet here:

I think the suspicions of a less-supported strike are true.
