Well I can be accused of using it for on screen text but I won't be doing it as much now. As for pressing ~ to get the sky logo, i never knew that! I've spent ages trying to line up the k with the y! Cheers for letting me know bout that!

it shows a compasrison, basicly because the sky font is so stylised, it is not suited for large chunks of text.

I wont do it again.

Nice example mdta, its unlikey that .tv will become sky technlogy, have a look at the thread below for an explanation.

thats not exactly true.

A search of the registration deails for www.skytechnology.tv shows that the domain is owned by BSkyB...

And .tv is to close thats true, but as it is quite popular, it may become part of sky ventures, like sky travel is and the granada channels, even QVC.

That way it will have more financial backing, they could also take two other routes,

1. Remove all live programming like wellbeing and breeze.

2. reduce the broadcasting hours like sky travel.

Untill something is announced, it is rumor and speculation, but it isnt unlikely, as evidence shows otherwise.

They may own the domain but at the moment they or the people who currently own the trademark '.tv' own the trademark Sky Technology and when they renamed the movies channels in late 1998, they trademarked the names in march, funnily enough when they decided to close .tv .

Any chance of getting back to the original thread, i.e. ITV1 Idents.
