UK Gold has good programmes but they've drifted off the subject.
it's not gold. some programmes were originally shown only 3 months beforehand on BBC1.
there are many comedies, gameshows, dramas and other good quality UK programming from years gone by and many of which should be shown again.
I personally think tv has 'dumbed down'.
those grey suits should listen to the real people - we the viewers.
I'm positive that the Generation Game (old ones) were on UK Gold years ago. I remember watching it in my old house and thinking how funny their clothes and hair styles were! But it would be good to get some game shows on the channel. Especially when half the programmes on the channel are repeated about 20 times in one day!
Are all the 'UK' channels owned by the BBC or do they just buy all of there programs?
Pardon my ignorance!!

ooh I say! Personally I would like to see Knightmare, the classic children's gameshow set in medieval times.Last repeated on Sci-Fi ages ago.I think a really good thing for UK Gold to do is,like on a Saturday Morning put an old Going Live on,at the time it would come on orginally!

SO IN ANSWER TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION - WHICH SHOWS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE???
Wouldn't it be fabulous to have a night of uncommissioned pilot programmes? Your show could get the prime slot! I saw a couple of unbroadcast sitcoms produced by BBC Scotland that could stand an airing....
PS: Glad to see you back of the forum Mr Scott - you have been missed.
Surely if classic gameshows are to be shown on satellite TV they should be shown on Challenge TV.
One programme I would like to see on UK Gold is the first series of Two Thousand Acres Of Sky, starring Michelle Collins and Paul Kaye. With the second series currently airing on BBC 1 on Friday evenings, this is a great programme.

Any other suggestions for UK Gold schedulers, rather than the same old stuff they're splurging out month after month???
One programme - THE GOODIES!! Unshown on terrestrial television since 1986, unshown by UK Gold since 1995ish. It's a disgrace. There's a whole generation growing up who have never seen the programme!
Good grief, UK Gold is the only channel I subscribe to. I was hoping for lots of classic shows from the 70s and 80s, and what do we get instead? Stuff from last week (virtually).
Oh yes, and put Doctor Who on at a decent time, not 7.30 in the morning at the weekends!

I know, and it's absolutely typical - the one channel on which the BBC actually do show The Goodies is one that isn't available in the UK!!!
