Ok. I read a thread about this channel not that long ago and then went to watch BBC Parliament.

My views; It's neglected, Badly Designed and NO WIDESCREEN.  (Also the DOG is awful)

This channel is not even listed on the BBCi channels menu! Would the BBC Rather Disown it!

Everyone goes on about polics being boring, but it can be good watching things on that channel. They are normal people, the laugh and joke around about things.

I propose we launch a massive campaign on the forum to get the BBC to do something about it! Surely they can't just be using the channel every 4 years for the General Election!

Anyone have ideas what we can do. I've already e-mailed them and am waiting for a reply.

It's not listed on BBCi because it's on a seperate transponder if memory serves me - I'm sure someone will correct me if that's bum fluff

Well. They should do something about.

If they want people intrested they should be doing something major about it!

I personally think it should go more BBC News 24 like. Maybe world like. Breakfillers and things etc. Rounding up the events that have happened so far.

I do recall starting a thread practically the same as this just a few weeks ago... so why have we got another?

You're right, but your reasoning that the DOG is poor is, I'm afraid, not likely to make BBC people sit up and demand changes.

Who gives a crap about DOGs, anyway?

they certainly have the resouces (in terms of reporters and journalists) to make a decent channel, the major stumbling block i imagine is DTT. maybe theyre leaving it untill after the bbc one/bbc three/bbc four relaunches, and waiting to see what becomes of ITV digital.

Why? I for one would much rather watch the House of Commons/Lords than the vast majority of BBC World's output - prerecorded feature programmes like Talking Movies and similar dross that is of no interest to the vast majority of people with an IQ of above 50.

What obsession is it that people in here have with BBC World? News 24 was designed for you... the domestic people. It's a bigger, more expensive, better constructed service than BBC World.

The BBC are not suddenly going to change their minds about BBC World, and you will not wake up one morning to find it on the Sky Digital EPG. For god's sake get over it and stop going on about it

Sorry if that's a bit harsh, it's not directly at you Gary and I appreciate that your comment wasn't supposed to be serious, but I do just wish people would get over the fact that they aren't going to have BBC World on their EPG.

You're quite all right! I was only making a joke of it! It's just because I think BBC Parliament is a waste of time and money. But that is my own view of the matter;)

Yes cat. Sorry. I did look for it to post in it but I couldn't find it. Sorry asa.

And I wasn't just refering to the DOG. I meant the channel in general!

I've e-mailed them with some ruff(very ruff) ideas. lol

Paliament just needs re-worked to something better.

Argh Yes. We don't need BBC World. Okay it would be nice as an added extra. Maybe if Parliament was a bit more news like things would pick up. After all the BBC are effectively wasting tax payers money with this are they not.

You should try watching it on digital terrestrial then!Wink

Personally, I'd rather have BBC Parliament with pictures, than the one channel that is even more boring - BBC World! (Ducks for cover).

DOGS are good sometimes. I don't mind the N24 dog. But this ain't a DOG THREAD.

It definatly needs a revamp and it needs it now!
