tvmocker14/Daybreak joined this forum in July of last year. Upon posting his first mock, all members were exceedingly courteous in their comments on what was a fairly sub-standard piece of work. People took considerable amounts of time to analyse his work and provide helpful feedback (in years previous, it would have been ripped to shreds there and then).

The problem is Mr 14 simply doesn't listen and chucked this goodwill back in our collective face. He carries on posting the same standard of mock on an almost fortnightly basis. And guess what? Members don't take too kindly to being so grossly ignored and grow irked at seeing the forum flooded with mocks that have been uploaded simply to provide some sort of jolly to their creator.

This place has (or at least had) *standards*. And you're trying to convince me this is somehow a bad thing?

I'm bored so let's go pick on the littler kids.


At least you love it... given your last attempt at the same thing his is better but that's putting glitter on ****, isn't it? Be aware, he is working at the exact same quality level as before, terrible.

Graphics-wise, it's not a truly awful mock, but then there is some inexcusable stuff going on here. Much has been highlighted already.

I see AxG mentioned to fix the 'NEWS' to match the height of the BBC logo text, and that was before the revised mock was posted. Yet the revision arrives and it has not been fixed - changed to Gill, yes, but not resized at all. It was completely ignored, and was a genuinely helpful comment. It should be heeded.

As for the 'Countdown music' - now that *is* something that's had zero time spent on it - because it's someone else's work without acknowledgement - plain laziness, not remotely appropriate, and downright wrong to fib that "(you had) come up with" it. That is unacceptable and proves (if there were ever any doubt) this is not seriously considered.

Basic rule: Never, ever post music or anything in The Gallery as 'new / your own' when it clearly isn't. You can't ever get away with cheating like that.

[If an awful mock appears within days, I concede it's beyond help - but in any case, the idea of some means of 'voting off' the most awful in future, rather than simply voting on them, in the circumstances seems fair.]

I was going to leave an in-deph comment on how this Okay and how to improve but I feel now that it wouldn't suit the current atmosphere in this thread.

Wouldn't we all like a sensible, "in-depth" discussion but if there's one thing we've learned with this character it's that he doesn't do two-way collaboration to improve his mocks. Either another "version" will be along shortly (completely to his own standard) or he'll move on to the next thing.

And so the cycle continues...

There's far to much tension across the whole of this forum. If someone who's 14 or 140 wants to post some useless mocks let them, who's it affecting? It might be annoying and joke amongst your self and post some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Don't be personal or attack people like some do or say mean comments. Unfortunately I agree that some of these mocks are not so good but don't be horrible and nasty just for the sake of it... NOBODY'S PERFECT!

I've provided an explanation as to why tvmocker14 is provoking such a reaction - it's up to you whether you choose to accept that or not.

On my part, I shall not be joining in a Digital Spy race to the bottom. There's absolutely nothing wrong with expecting a certain level of quality and anyone who goes along with this has no reason to apologise.

If this sort of standard becomes the accepted norm, for the sole pleasure of a strange, protectionist fan club, fine. But you can count me (and the vast majority of well intentioned people) out.
