I hope there isn't gaps like this throughout the run. That'd be annoying.

I was annoyed with the discontinuity, but hey, it's been worth the 17 year wait.

Who knows; perhaps there was some legal reason the show inbetween could not be aired.

We didn't seem to miss any contestants by not seeing this episode so unless there was a legal problem with a question then I'd bet on either a mistake or a technical (perhaps quality issue) with the missing episode.
