Not sure if they still use the same set but in recent years I've found the BBC Budget graphics oversized and quite intrusive.
Changing topic slightly though and with Working Lunch axed I wonder if the Daily Politics could lose it's studio and be moved into the Breakfast/Six/Newsnight studio - although I guess with the move to Broadcasting House imminent they won't be changing anything too soon. Much prefer the politics studio though to the news studios.
I think for now they would want to keep the Daily Politics at Westminster so they have good access to politicians and other guests. However, once BBC News moves to Broadcasting House, it could be possible, as Broadcasting House is a lot closer to the Palace of Westminister/Whitehall than Television Centre.
I think that the Millbank studio is the most in need of a new set. The current layout for the Daily Politics is awkward as they have two projector screens of which one, because of the need for it to be at an angle due to the space makes the set look cramped. This Week looks better because they get rid of the second projector, but still looks dated. The Millbank studio has had virtually the same set, with the occasional tweaks, since the political programmes were overhauled in 2003. A new set which uses Barcos and/or the very large plasma-like screens like that which was used for the Election and Sky News also has, to allow a bit more floor space to and let everything breathe a bit would be good.
The biggest and best change that could be made to the Daily Politics however is to increase the length of the 30 minute shows to at least 45 minutes to allow each segment to have a good length. Frequently, the subjects under discussion only have a really short time allotted to them, and most of the time is spent with guests talking over each other.
