That's correct. How strange, although they are different feeds for advertising purposes, aren't they?
Judging by a message sent to me on Twitter, the Sky3 DOG is only being seen on Freeview.

For that reason, I actually like this ident. I caught the Sky3 version only a few days ago for the first time and I thought it was actually better than Sky1's and Sky2's.
I've got to agree. Although the logo itself is nothing special, the overall presentation isn't bad at all - the end boards are much nicer than those for Sky1.
I still don't really get the logic in the rebrand. Considering the channel remains full of Sky promos, they're hardly disassociating themselves from it.
...I quite like the above as it reminds me of a time when idents didn't have to be elaborate metaphors, just simple logo animations.

Indeed, ATV had no silly reason, 'central focal point' behind it, it was just an animation for the logo to appear.
I do like this ident for that reason, the simplicity compliments it.

Although it could also be argued there was little logic behind having a channel named "Sky3" on a platform not carrying Sky's 1+2.
Personally, I think it's a deliberate ploy to give Freeview viewers the impression they are getting a diminished service. Sure, Sky promos still air but they're only for other channels available via pay TV subscriptions, which can either be read as an attempt to lure new subscribers or as an arsey "ner ner na ner ner we've got this content and you can't have it" approach.

No different than what Challenge is now, although it has its own content, there's constant trailers for Sky 1, Living, Atlantic, Movies and Sports.

By having Sky3 on Freeview, viewers would be more inclined to want Sky1 and 2 if they enjoy 3's content.
I don't understand why they've rebranded. Even if their experiment of trying to entice people to Sky didn't work, what benefit is there by renaming it to Pick TV?

It's not like it's the 'Pick' or a showcase of Sky content anyway. It's full of rubbish.
