My Dear TV Forumers,

It's getting colder day by day and the Geese are getting fat. That means only one thing, it's nearly Christmas! Discuss your Christmas telly thoughts and feelings here. Personally, I can't wait for the Radio Times, that normally signals my start of Christmas!

Don't know if this is the right thread to ask the question in, but is there any indication as to what the BBC is planning for their Christmas TV idents yet?

Or will 'austerity' mean the recycling of old ones from before the themed idents of 2008 and 2009?

Said page above seems to suggest a SCD ident this year. But that's not the final pres, however the mentioned ident is to be played out for the SCD Final.

Christmas Ident will apparently feature "Fake Snow" (Source: DigitalSpy)

The fun never starts until the official BBC Press release is out and the Christmas RadioTimes hits the shelves. Trust me, I've been here years Mr Cratchit.

Louis Spence is doing the Alternative Christmas Message on Sky1 this year, is this the first one they've done?

Correction - he's doing AN alternative Christmas message on Sky1. THE Alternative Christmas Message should still be on Channel 4. (It better be, anyway.)

And despite what he says on that clip, NO-ONE will be watching him.

So presumably, the traditional double editions of the TV mags will cover the period 18-December - 31 December and go on sale around 7th December ?
