The Press Preview is a great segment. Particularly like Monday nights with Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce. The banter between those two is always great, even though I generally find Andrew to be toe-curlingly smug. I get the feeling though that despite their heavily conflicting political views, they do get on quite well underneath it all.

Kelvin McKenzie just aimlessly shoots his mouth off about everything which doesn't make for particularly good viewing. I had the misfortune today of reading his column in the paper. (it was the only paper lying around at work to read on my lunch break) The leading piece was spent attacking a Tory candidate that has just recently called the paper he writes for "immoral" and "unethical" for its handling of the Jacqui Janes story. The two events are not at all linked, I'm sure.

I can't believe how much time Sky News wastes on newspapers. Probably because they are too lazy to get their own news. Cheap filler.

Do you actually watch the reviews? It may be cheap, but it's engaging and interesting. Although admittedly this can depend on the quality of the reviewers somewhat.

It's not just stealing other peoples' news, it can spark very interesting debate on a wide range of subjects.

Yes, and the same old people expressing their personal opinions, which I thought the majority of people was against happening in this country in news output?

If it was the presenters themselves expressing their opinions maybe.

But my point is, most of these reviewers are regular, so we have regular sided opinions on the show.

Sky News Australia knows how to do presentation!

Their remixes sound great and graphics look superb. Sky News UK has lost its way!

Not usually a fan but Chris Skudder did a good job of relaying the news from the World Cup draw this evening. Quite tricky I would imagine getting all the relevant info across to the viewer whilst the draw is actually taking place, not really giving him any time to digest the news himself. His commentary and analysis however was very informative and interesting.

As a welshman I think Chris Roberts felt a bit left out!

I always get the feeling that Chris Skudder is very bored while presenting.

I hate the way Sky News tries to update on the whole football scores in the TOTH on the weekends. They should wait until the sports segment to do that and isn't really necessary.

Its like 20 seconds of headlines then goes into sport something along the lines of:
"and in sport, at Old Trafford at half time its 2-0 to the good, and at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea trail 2 goals to nil, elswhere its 0-0 at Molineux, also goalless at St James Park at half time,we'll update you on all of today sport at 20 past and quarter to."

Yep - Sky behind the game in Perugia and didn't feel their usual confident selves on location or in the studio. They appeared distracted by showing the CCTV images of the judge, whereas the BBC got on with delivering the verdicts clearly - and a while before Sky.
