Sound effects

I'm in need of two sounds effects often used in television.

The first is quite specific and difficult to describe. Image a big building's power failing or being switched off; I'm looking for the sort of noise made when large amounts of power stops. It sort of sounds like the noise is going down the scale.

The second is the noise often used on entertainment programmes when ending music suddenly, such as the needle being pulled off an LP. Again, difficult to describe.

Sorry about the pretty pathetic descriptions. I hope you can understand.

It may not be the one you are looking for, but I've definitely heard this being used before as a comedy effect.
