can you Name that song

Iam trying to found a name to a piece of music form the 1970's , I first ask about this over a year ago and I had link to what it sounded like. I don;t have the this, Ie a link and I can;t remember the name of the song or band.

Here it is::

1970's classic Funk song, Black, African American Or Caribbean American. band? It about 6 - 8 mins long and There no singing in it for about first 3- 4mins and then it like a rap..... the First 3mins of which there is NO SINGING, I have to this bit clear. it very famous piece of music

it does sound synthesize but it sound relaxed and cool it a weird sounding song, Very Hip, cool relxing, chilling out. The synthesize., is only with the second beat.
the First beats stays the same while another which is the synthesize goes up in sound and then down in sound. but it sound relaxed and cool.

I have no idea about the lycis as its the tune I like. I have heard it a couple of time on TV.

I first of thought of Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper Delight" (1979) then Granmaster Flash's "The Message" or "White Lines" but both of those are 80's and on the 12" (steady ) versions I have they have instrumental parts for that aren't long. Can you remember what you heard it on?

It was: Granmaster Flash's "The Message, you are a star,

which now means In trouble as I through it was the 70;s not 80
