Just a quick 5-minute mock to show how the lower-thirds could have been only altered slightly, keeping a more interesting look, rather than the boring, bland 1999 graphics we have now.

Oh and bringing back Gill Sans was a crime - Helvetica all the way here!

I really like these graphics, Benjy. They're an awful lot better than what the BBC have put on screen.

My only problem is that the 'BREAKING NEWS' text doesn't stand out well enough.

Other than that, I think they're great!

Wow, brilliant! I really like these, a hell of a lot better than the flat colour on the current.

The only thing I would say is that the white on red on the Breaking News should be white on red everywhere - maybe just me, but it always bugs me when that isn't the case!

Fantastic, well done, much more lively than the white and much more noticeable.

You see, that is exactly what I expected from this rebrand! So much better - still simple but with nice effects etc.

Sorry but I don't like these, they look old for some reason. The font to me doesn't suit them and the gradient on the straps looks silly as for the short ticker. Not liking the red swirls on the left either, too dominant on white.

Not so convinced on the gradients, I'm not sure they stylistically match the swirls of the new titles (which with them being used in this mock, seems as if you're mocking as if they'd stay), but I do like that breaking news strap especially.

Really super - much better than the existing carp we've got. Just one question - the current NC graphics have been designed to fit with nationals (without the ticker) and regions. How would you make these work for those?
