BBC UK Channel Logos

I came up for ideas for new BBC channel logos. After drawing my initial ideas out in pencil I was ready to produce these versions.

Tell me what you think and I'm working on programme promotion graphics and stuff. I will also have a Trilight website online with my mocks and other work.

Some good, some bad.
1. BBC logo rules ignored, with the logo being white or black.
Not bad, but there is no character, and the CBBC one looks to strict in design

Maybe they can make changes to the rules in the future

I thought they were good myself. Although I agree with the comment on the CBBC logo, needs to be abit more 'playful'. But overall good. 3.5/5

Erm... they all look a bit boring, IMO, and with the exception of BBC2's, they'd be a massive step down from the current ones.

Hmm...

The CBBC logo is good, but they others are a bit flat. I also loathe the the idea of having the channel name beneath the BBC logo. I'm glad BBC One have moved away from this now.

They are fine. I'm partial to the CBBC and BBC Three logos, however.

The others are bland, or seem too similar to what is out there already. Give One, Two, Parliament, and News24 a bit more thought. It's a good start.

Let me ask you, when you finished your pre-vis period why did you seemingly just go "Ah, faff it, I'll just use regular fonts"?

I doubt it made much difference anyway, they don't seem too far a departure to the usual unimaginative stuff I see, just whack on some "subtle" gradients onto simple text and hope someone doesn't notice I haven't found an Align panel yet.

These are dull, dull, duull. They are not as good as BBCs current logos.

I prefere the current ones exept the BBC THREE one which i quite like.

Totally agree, bar the BBC TWO. Here's why:

1) BBC ONE just looks the wrong font and again is just dull.
2) BBC THREE again looks the wrong font and the current one is more visually interesting.
3) BBC FOUR's "FOUR" is too bold for such a "quiet" and "intellectual" channel.
4) BBC NEWS 24 and BBC PARLIAMENT is dull.
5) CBBC is too restricting and too similar to the others. Surprisingly or not, it's better to have something completely different for children's channels.

** Latest Update **

Because the BBC TWO logo seemed to come off best I have quickly designed some on screen graphics using the logo. Not sure if they're any good because they were just a quick idea.
