Er.... Fast Track at 10.45 on a Monday morning?

I'm confused as to the point.

Apparently they've been having some technical problems with the audio on News 24 this morning - I hadn't noticed any, but at 10.45, they just apologised for them, and said they were going to have to break away for a bit to try to fix them - so we're being treated to an episode of FastTrack.

Anyone know what's actually gone wrong, and how they can continue to play out a programme while working on the sound?

Maybe I spoke too soon - the picture froze for a few seconds. Maybe they realise that everyone's given up watching?

Crossing over to BBC World at the top of the hour, now.

[edit] isn't that amazing? Aaron Heslehurst hot-footed it down from Heathrow to N9 in just a few minutes! Smile

It is possible to play out programmes via a small emergency mixer.

I've only just turned on to this. Did N24 show the World breakfiller??

EDIT: must be a major problem, 1131hrs and we're still with World - showing News Extra. Is this a scheduled programme or just a one-off to provide rolling news on N24?

Still with BBC World...

They didn't show the breakfiller... I think we saw a sports bulletin instead.

No. News 24 is just showing the output from N9; at the end of the :30 summary, there was a rubbish-looking gap (with the first frame of the News Extra titles) where BBC World viewers would have seen an ident.

Just flicked on to BBC News Interactive - noticed they are showing a clean feed of BBC World, i.e. World tower, no ticker. Any ideas as to what the specifics of the problem may be?
