After watching Click Online today, Stephen Cole said his good byes and then confirmed the show was being replaced by "Click" and they dropped the online because they want to go more wide range on technology.

Im not sure if this is a good move or not, as Click Online is one of the BBC's flagship progammes worldwide.

Anyone know who the new presenter is?

EDIT: Found This from bbcworld.com

Spencer Kelly is the new face of BBC World's technology programme for 2006, and each week, he’ll guide you around the latest innovations and developments. The programme - now known as Click - comes from China, which is poised to become technology’s new superpower. There’s a look at the country's mobile phone culture, forthcoming gadgets and a huge electronics mall. Click also assesses the darker side of technology in China, where parts of the web are blocked to computer users.

Atleast its not that wierdy beardy feller who does the tips.

Not a huge surprise - Spencer has presented the programme before (when Stephen was away) and he's been one of the reporters/production team for years. Rob Freeman (the tips man) had also presented the programme but he no longer works full time at the BBC.

I think its a good move, Click Online has changed alot last year (2005!) compared to when I watched it in 2004, so I don't see this being a bad move or not, and I've never really like the other blokes on Click Online and out of them, I'd like the see the "weirdy beardy guy" present than the new presenter.

Oh Well. Ciao Stephen!

Yeh. Ive always found parts of the programme sometimes patronising towards the viewer, and most viewers work in IT, or use computers/technlogy in their daily life. I hope with this relaunch they can get rid of the patronising attitude, and get more big interviews, more big news first and stuff.

They could also promote it more, I've never seen a click online promo.

He also occasionally presents on C5's Gadget Show too.

Very good presenter IMHO, I think he started in broadcasting on South Hampshire's ILR station Ocean FM. He presented the breakfast show on there for a few years.

Yes, that's why Click (Online) now has a new presenter to replace him.

I don't think that one is the reason for the other though.
