BBC ONE Ident Tumbler - Why was the music changed?

Having only recently seen both versions of the Tumbler ident, the soundtrack of the original sounded much better IMHO, plus it fitted well with the actions on-screen.

...So, does anyone know for sure why they've switched the soundtrack?

The old one does sound like something I've heard before, but I can't put my finger on it...

We discussed this in another thread. No-one really knows but we think its because of Copyright. We reckoned that it sounded too much like someone elses song and they must have complained.

Yup, that's the only explanation I can think of that makes sense - I'll probably kick myself the day the artist in question gets named, for not remembering it!
